Winter Card and Tutorial ♥

Hello, my crafty friends, today I show you a card made for this beautiful season.

I started with white cardstock, die cut snowflakes, Gesso, Napkin Varnish and Distress Spray Stain *Picket Fence* and *Stormy Sky*. I used the varnish to glue the snowflakes to the card and applied some gesso to make the surface a little smoother. I sprayed with Distress Stains.

To give it a more frosty look I added embossing powder, but brushed most of it off again, I wanted just a bit of shimmer, I show you a close up ....

I stamped my sentiment on vellum and heat embossed it.

The Poinsettias were cut from burlap, I added a little button and some twine to finish my "frosty" card.

Have a wonderful time and I hope you find enough time to craft!

Publications in Take Ten!

I'm super excited about the news ♥

Again Stampington has given me a whole page to display my cards.

It's called VOAT - Variations on a Theme :)

A pretty bad scan, I will take a picture tomorrow during day light :)

Christmas "Birdie" card

I used many different stamps on this card:

Darkroom Door "Bricks" for the background, the stars are from the set "Stitched Christmas".

The birdie is from VivaLasVegaStamps, the hat from Stampers Anonymous and the sentiment from the set "Christmas Cheers & Gift Tags" from Rubber Dance Stamps.

VivaLasVegaStamps December Challenge

I didn't know what to choose from the mood board at Viva Las Vegastamps. The Santa, Christmas outfits, fluffy hats, postoids, red, glitter, black and white, shades of gray, overstretch belt buckles, trikes, kids, Christmas morning, SANTA himself, stripes?

I had just posted the funny steam punk owl a couple of days ago, but not in December, so I decided to use it again, I love this image!

I stamped my owl on an ATC, this one with a striped outfit in Red and White, kept the rest of the "costume" B&W, went for "shades of gray" for the background and of course a fluffy hat :)

One more, this time the outfit is B&W with stripes, the background Red & white, again a fluffy hat, an overstretched belt buckle and a sticker sentiment as a little joke from my side :)

Just in time ...

The last day of the wonderful annual event at the Tim Holtz Blog!

I do love the technique with the acrylic paint and the foil, makes it look so very special :)

Please excused the poor quality of the photos, it's raining out of buckets :(

Winter Dreams

A little something for a gloomy day.

It's stormy and raining at approx. 8°C, this is NOT what I want for winter, I want sunshine, snow and freezing temps, well, not too freezing, just low enough to let the snow stay :)

I used the steam punk owl from Viva Las VegaStamps and Darkroom Door stamps for the background. The sentiment is from the "Words" set from Art Journey.

Have a wonderful Sunday, make the best of it, maybe snuggle up on the couch, that's my plan for later in the afternoon ♥

The wreath ....

Just finished the wreath for Advent.

This year hubby had chosen the ribbon, I really love it :)

I'm responsible for the reindeer, just too cute, aren't they?

I cut the stars with the Sizzix "Moon & Stars" die, applied Distress Stain and Rock Candy.
