12 tags of 2016

Yeah, October means HALLOWEEN!!

I pretty much followed Tim's instructions, substituting for materials I had on hand. Unfortunately, I don't have the cool monster face die, so I used the Rickety House instead.

To add dimension, I popped up the roof with pop dots.

I embossed the house with a wood grain folder and applied black acrylic paint after I sanded it a bit.

I used stickers for the words and a little Rub On for the bats.

I will also enter this tag into the challenge over at More than Words!

12 Tags of 2016 - September

Last minute creation for the challenge at the Tim Holtz' inspirational blog.

I had a very hard time creating this tag in this special technique and finally gave up. As soon as I applied the solution with the sponge, the whole background just "swam" away and smeared it all up.

This is as close as I can get to the original technique :(

Challenge #233 at UYS

Welcome back to our challenge at Use Your Stuff!
I decided to make a canvas with the beautiful choice of colours. They look a bit darker than IRL, but still, I like it ....

I used the Mixed Media dies from Tim Holtz, Gesso and lots of paint. The die cuts are the Tim Holtz Wildflowers.

Just finished a little canvas with the funny Totem Egret from Erin Sparler and some stamps from Rubber Dance. The sentiment is one of the funny ones by Dyan Reaveley - Dylusions.

A little dream ....

Good morning, crafty peeps!
Today I show you an "almost" CAS card with a beautiful Rubber Dance Stamps sentiment from the set "Affirmations".
This is one of my favorite word stamps and I use it quite a lot, it almost always seems to fit.
I wish you all a happy week and don't forget to use the code *MAJO2016* while shopping at Rubber Dance Stamps to receive a 15% discount on your stamps!

12 Tags of 2016 ♥

I was so glad it finally started again and was in pure horror when I saw the technique.

I had tried the Chalkboard technique in 2013 and failed so badly.

I talked to Tim about it when I met him at the fair in Frankfurt. He had that mischievous smile that told me he knew what he was doing to us crafters. Well, he didn't have a heat gun, so je just explained it in words.

This time I thought I was all set, MISTAKE: I failed again. I just don't get to the point where the embossing powder is still matte, it turned shiny too quickly for me. Well, after a few tries I just embossed my image in White :) Cheating!!
