I created this "card" for the HSS Technique Challenge #98 - Unique Folds.

It is folded from a 12" piece of double sided paper, the tags are stamped with My Paper World and Waltzing Mouse stamps.

I thought I would NEVER finish this project, it wasn't one of my favorites either, at least when I started.

I found it quite annoying to apply the tape and make it stick. I had to apply Multi Medium matte to make it work at all.

Most of the little tidbits used are from TH, of course ;)

For me, it has to have a tree on the card and the colours must be green, red and off-white, this is old fashioned in my eyes, I love trees and I love the colours .... not just at Christmas Time!

My challenge from Stacey was to create a card using this sketch, skip the flowers and use patterned paper only.

This is what I created, a Christmas Card using Simple Stories papers. I cut the ornaments with Spellbinders Christmas Tags and embossed them in Gold. The sentiment is from a set from Waltzing Mouse.

For my birthday last week I received some truly wonderful gifts from my friend and blog buddies.

This is an awesome book Carmen made for me, she has been the one who took my hand during my first steps in scrapbooking. She has a fabulous style and a great eye for details.

I received this cute little box with a bunch of amazing charms and also an awesome card from my blog buddy Martina.

This piece of art along with a beautiful card and snowflake stamps were given to me by my Dutch friend Ira, quite an artist, isn't she?

I must mention that the shoe was filled with lace ... yummy!

I also received a package from my swap partner Kirsty from Nevada yesterday. We had a swap at CCCB and she spoiled me rotten:

I have goals for every year, some I can reach, some I just put aside for the following year.

This year my goal was to be published in two of my favorite magazines, the Stampers Sampler and Take Ten...

Approx. 2 weeks ago my dear blog buddy Vickie sent me a scan and I almost fell off my chair. I have an entry in the Stampers Sampler and even more I'm mentioned on their site.

Now I finally hold the magazine in my hands, as a European subscriber I get my issue always 2 weeks later :(
I feel tickled to death.

This is PAGE 77 in the magazine,isn't that a lucky number?

I can hardly wait for Take Ten to be published, I keep my fingers crossed!

Advent Calendar 2011

I finally finished my calendar. A little late? No, we start to open drawers tomorrow, so there's plenty of time.

I worked with the Kaisercraft Calendar and used Simple Stories "25 days of Christmas" paper. The stamps are Unity. I cut the ornaments with Spellbinders Tags.

I enter this calendar into challenges at City Crafters Challenge blog for my St. Claus and challenge HSSABAC95 at Hand Stamped Sentiments for the ornaments as well as into the Paper Variety.

I just added a little fence with #24, I like it better that way :)

Unfortunately the light is too gloomy to take a better picture, so I leave the older one as well!

When returning home from some time in the hospital after my back
surgery I had to "allow" DH to take over :)

He managed brilliantly!

I was not a very patient person during that time, but he just soothed out all my nagging with a smile and even more comfort for me.

I stamped the background with their beautiful set *Festive Foliage*, added the sentiment and dew drops as well as a ribbon. It doesn't really look like Christmas, but that's just the way it came out and that's the way I will leave it, whether I like it or not.

My Sketch World - October Release

We have the most challenging sketch for October and the team managed beautifully, please check out all the lovely creations.

Here is mine:

I used Ten Seconds Foil on Grunge Paper for the clock. The turns are embossed with Silver Powder. The Chipboard Numbers have coats and coats of acrylic paint on them, topped with Rock Candy.

I cut the hearts from Graphic45 paper (Gentlemen) ... what else ;) ... and glued them to a natural string which I fastened with brads to the embossed Cardstock (Cuttlebug Clockworks)

Added a butterfly for "TIME FLIES!!"

The sentiment is computer generated.

I got so carried away in my trying not to use too much and overload, I completely forgot the patterned paper. Well, I guess it's ok, may the stamping goes for design.

Fun at My Sketch World!

I colored the tag with distress inks "Spiced marmalade", "Barn Door" and "Faded Jeans".

The hearts are TH dies, covered with book pages and also covered with Distress paint "Rock Candy" (This didn't work to my satisfaction, maybe I was too impatient, because I dried it with a heat tool). The butterflies are once again Sizzix dies, manufactured by Stampin' UP.

I also added some gloss gel from Viva around the hole.

I decided to create an anniversary card.

The design paper is very old and from K&Company, the image was a gift from one of my Norwegian pals, the sentiment is computer generated. I cut the butterflies with a Sizzix die manufactured by SU.

The scalloped border is a Spellbinders die, one of my favorites at the moment!

This is a challenge I really loved.

I used my Spellbinders dies, which definitely is not often enough and adhered a bit of lace to the bottom of the heart . I stamped a panel of sticky canvas and used 7Gypsies paper for the background.

This neat little metal heart charm is manufactured by Rayher/Germany.

The sentiment is computer generated.

This weather makes me do crazy things, it makes me eat more, it makes me restless and it makes me copy from other talented crafters.

Vickie Kammerer showed some amazing work in the latest issue of "TAKE TEN", a magazine I wouldn't want to miss for anything and today I had nothing better to do than copy one of her cards. Forgive me Vickie, I just couldn't resist :(

We were traveling some days ago and one of the magazines of Stampington is always with me, when I stumbled across page 83 and held my breath. I immediately knew: I just NEED to make this card!
The fabulous thought behind it never left my mind since.

Today is the day.

Vickie made her cage of real copper, mine is just glimmermisted to make it look that way.

I was, and I still am, a great admirer of her art, her combination of differentstyles in music, whether soul, R&B or jazz. For me she was the queen of itall.

I very much regret that I have never been to one of her life concerts.

The DP is "Stella & Rose" from My Mind's Eye, the stamp is one I hadn't used before, because it's so huge. I think I set it aside for further use on Layouts.

Very clean, very simple, very quick.

I embossed the chipboard with Antiquities and then again with a regular powder, looks great IRL.

My friend who had the knee surgery yesterday will have to stay at the hospital for quite some time now. I hope my tiny canvas will cheer her up a bit.

I entered this into the challenge #64 *Birds of a Feather* at the City Crafters Challenge Blog and Fun with shapes and more.

The canvas is 4x4", I covered it with white acrylic paint with a touch of brown. The dies you all know, don't you? Just added a button and some ribbons.

Today on my daily tour I found another challenge blog CREATIVE SCRAPPERS with sketches and I had to create a card this instant.

I turned the sketch as it fit my sentiment better.

I used BasicGrey *Max&Whiskers*, an image one of my blog buddies sent me and some Prima roses. The beautiful butterfly is from my swap partner Ros, thanks so much!

This card goes to a friend who had a knee surgery today, I'll drop it by her house tonight!

Today I received an enveolpe and I'm still doing the happy dance!

We had a challenge at CCCB for ATC's and anyone who entered could also join in the swap. We were all given a partner and we send our ATC plus a vintage gift to our partner. I teamed with Ros and I received these beautiful goodies today.

SUMMER challenge

At Fun with ATC's we had a new challenge coming up this morning: SUMMER!

The challenge at TPV also calls for Summer, so this is my entry there too!

I drew some houses for my background, painted the sun and computer generated the sign. Chalked up the edges a bit and voilá.

I think this is so untypical for me, I really can't believe I made this.

I tend to overload my ATC's, well not this time.

Challenge #61 at CCCB - ATC

I love ATC's!

This weeks challenge at CCCB is ... well guess what?

I prepared thebackground with alcohol ink in 3 different colours and stamped a Tim Holtzstamp on it …. didn’t like it.

So Iadhered a piece of a book page and stamped Distressed Dots from Kaisercraftover that …. a bit better.

Then Iadhered a piece of a woven structure (it’s what plumbers use for putting tileson the bathroom walls) over the right side. Now it looked ok for me.

The imageis from Crafty Individuals UK, the sentiment from Lisa’s Altered Art.

This is my ATC for the ABC challenge at the Fun with ATC's Forum. The letter is *J* for the German word *Jugend*, youth in English.

I must admit I had a heck of a time thinking of something to create. I finally came up with this:

Definitely not one of my favorites, but as one TH sentiments says:

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes, art is knowing which ones to keep ..... *grin*

When I saw the tutorial on TH's blog I knew I had to try this.

I just cut butterflies from grunge board (grunge paper didn't work so well) and followed the masters directions ;)

I came up with these little embellies, which I could use also for tags on a present, kinda cute I think.

This one is distressed with *Mustard Seed*.....

..... and this one with *Stormy Sky*.

This time it's "Everything that flies" - but no birds!

I decided to use my "Killer-Bee" with a background from itkupilli, some ants (Do they fly?) and distress stickles.

I haven't used stickles in ages and wasn't even sure they weren't already dried ut. It's "Worn lipstick". I like it on my card.

We just bought this outdoor furniture for the furries and Cookie claimed it HER very own.

And this is may card. I love that stamp. When I bought it I hadn't realized how huge it was and I was going to give it away, now I'm glad I kept it.l If it's too large for the project I just rip it apart :)

Use paint and recycled cardbord! This is the challenge for this week at the CCCB.

I created another canvas, used lots and lots of acrylic paint and added a small flower cut from cardboard on her hat.

Some stamping, some rub ons and I'm all set :)
